Hospital Joya Marina Vallarta is a tertiary-care hospital located in the Zona Hotelera Norte of Puerto Vallarta, opened on November 23, 2000 as the first tertiary-level hospital in a tourist destination in the region. It offers 24/7 emergency care for adults, pediatric and obstetric patients; an Intensive Care Unit; a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU); a hemodynamics lab for cardiology; a urology center; imaging services (X-ray, ultrasound, MRI and CT scan); a blood bank; and a labor and delivery area. Staff is bilingual (Spanish and English). Specialty consultations are available 365 days a year.
